About SAGIE

GIVE FIRST.EVERYTHING FOLLOWS.

SAGIE is a give-first startup ecosystem — founders, operators, and investors connected through local chapters, vetted services, and impact-driven investment. It was built on a belief most networks abandon on day one: what you give is what you receive.

The Problem

THREE PARADOXES.ONE LOCKED DOOR.

Three paradoxes lock talented people out of building what they’re capable of building.

The first is the junior paradox: you need experience to get experience. Every door says “prove yourself first,” but the rooms where proving happens are invitation-only. The second is the academy paradox: degrees now go obsolete faster than the loans that paid for them, yet the credential is still the gate. The third is the geography paradox: talent is distributed everywhere, but access is concentrated in a handful of zip codes. If you’re building from the wrong city — or the wrong country — the ecosystem might as well not exist.

Networking was supposed to solve this. Instead it became a transaction: collect contacts, extract value, move on. Paid communities solved curation but priced out the people who need access most. The result is a strange market where connection is everywhere and trust is nowhere.

The Response

BUILT ASTHE INVERSE.

SAGIE was built as the inverse. SAGIE connects people through contribution, not payment — a curated ecosystem where genuine relationships come first, and where the collective activates those relationships into introductions, services, and capital. The garden metaphor runs the whole system: don’t chase butterflies; build a garden so the butterflies come to you.

That’s why SAGIE is structured as an ecosystem, not a club. Community (ECO), services (Solutions), and investment (Ventures) feed each other — a member who gives to the community becomes a trusted provider; a trusted provider strengthens the startups; stronger startups return value to the community that raised them.

The Founder

MEET SAGIE BARAM

Sagie Baram, ecosystem architect and founder of SAGIE

Sagie Baram is an ecosystem architect, startup advisor, and superconnector — and the founder of SAGIE.

Community building started early: gaming communities of 10, then 100, then 1,000+. The lesson from those years still drives everything — shared vision and real engagement create something that lasts. That principle deepened through open-source work, where trust, transparency, and contribution aren’t values on a wall; they’re the operating system for how strangers build together.

Professionally, Sagie has worked across the entire startup stack — software engineering, project and program management, sales and business development, customer success — the kind of range that lets him operate as a chief of staff for any company he joins, and the reason founders bring him in as a fractional executive. He’s Israeli-American and based in Miami, and SAGIE’s cross-cultural DNA is his own: a neurodivergent mind that connects dots others don’t see — ideas, people, industries, cultures.

  • Founder of SAGIE and the Miami chapter (2025), now 883+ members with five chapters in progress
  • Fractional executive and startup consultant across engineering, operations, business development, and customer success
  • Open-source contributor and community builder — the origin of SAGIE’s trust-first operating system
  • Published writer on impact technology, including IoT work on environmental problems
  • Israeli-American, building cross-border bridges between the U.S., Israel, and the chapters ahead

How It’s Built

THREE PILLARS.ONE LOOP.

Every part of SAGIE runs through three pillars. ECO is where the movement lives — chapters, events, and cross-cultural connections built on layers of trust rather than transactions. Solutions is where the ecosystem works — services offered by vetted community members whose expertise has been personally tested before it’s ever offered to a client. Ventures is where the impact scales — connecting investors with impact-driven founders through relationships, not cold pitch decks.

Progression through the ecosystem is earned, never purchased. Everyone starts as an Explorer. Builders are recognized because the community feels the value they create. Shapers are invited, not applied for. There is no upgrade button — which is exactly why the trust holds.

The SAGIE Foundation extends the same belief outward: youth tech education, veteran support, open-source programs, and cross-cultural exchange.

Who It’s For

SAGIE is for people who build — and who give before they ask.

  • Founders get introductions that skip cold outreach and a collective that shapes their vision.
  • Investors get curated deal flow built on vetted relationships.
  • Operators get a network that finally recognizes the execution layer.
  • Ecosystem builders get cross-city amplification for what they already do naturally.
  • Academics get a bridge from research to application.
  • Partners get vetted talent, services, and a community that actually collaborates.

Common questions

Who founded SAGIE?
SAGIE was founded by Sagie Baram, an ecosystem architect, startup advisor, and superconnector based in Miami. He built SAGIE from two decades of community building — from gaming communities to open source — on the belief that what you give is what you receive.
What does SAGIE stand for?
SAGIE stands for Shape a Great Impact Everywhere. The name is the mission: a give-first startup ecosystem where genuine relationships — not transactions — create impact across cities, cultures, and industries.
Is SAGIE a nonprofit?
SAGIE is an ecosystem with three pillars: ECO (community), Solutions (vetted services), and Ventures (investment connections). The SAGIE Foundation supports youth tech education, veteran support, open-source programs, and cross-cultural exchange as its mission arm.
Where is SAGIE based?
SAGIE was founded in Miami, where its first chapter has been active since 2025. Chapters are in progress in Tel Aviv, Texas, Singapore, New York, and Dubai — local trust, global ecosystem.
How is SAGIE different from other founder communities?
Most curated communities sell access; SAGIE’s membership is earned through contribution. Explorer → Builder → Shaper progression can’t be bought, which keeps the incentive aligned with the philosophy: give without calculating the return.

The Commitment

SAGIE exists to prove that give-first isn’t naive — it’s the most durable growth strategy there is. The world doesn’t need more competition; it needs more collaboration, across borders, backgrounds, and industries.

What started as a vision became a system. What started as a system became a movement.
